5 Steps To Your Loft Conversion

Step 1
When you initially meet with your Loft Conversion Specialist you'll be asked key questions like: How do you intend to use this added habitable loft space? Are there design features that are important to you? They will then explain essential legal requirements such as Party Wall Agreements and the need for Planning Approval or Building Regulations. There are a number of standard things to consider such as shared chimney stacks etc. All of these factors will help them to give you an accurate quotation.
Step 2
Once you are happy to proceed you will receive a Contract that sets out not only what is included in the price but also what is not included. Once you are happy with that document you'll just need to sign it and return it with your deposit. This leads to another visit by a Building surveyor who will carry out the detailed measurements required to produce the drawings.
Step 3

Step 4
Now your plans have been approved it would be wise to speak to your neighbours if Party Walls are involved. You can set up a Party wall Agreement formally or informally and a Good Loft Conversion Company will be happy to help.
Step 5
Approvals obtained and the project can be scheduled. You are likely to have some final questions and a reputable company will encourage you to ask them even at this late stage.
