Ground Source Heat Pumps
Did you know that we are quite literally standing on a potential source of natural heat some 2 meters below our feet? By virtue of the ground's thermal mass, a constant temperature of 11-12° is maintained throughout the year. Through the wonders of modern technology, ground source heat pumps can harvest this natural resource and provide space heating and hot water to our domestic properties.
It is unlikely that you would require planning permission for the installation of a ground source heating system. However, the same may not necessarily be true if you live in a Conservation Area or Listed Building. It is expected that the agent acting on your behalf would have found this out before starting any installation work.
