My elderly in laws have had a housing estate passed at the bottom of their garden. The consultation said the building would be 20.4m from their residence. It has been built 17m.
The planning dept. said 12m was the guide for a gable end so is compliant. But is it though? Will it of been passed on their stated measurement? Any help welcomed.

It would depend on your LPA’s policies as they vary up and down the country. If however the formal and approved drawings stated a specific separation distance which has not been adhered to, then the development is in breach of Planning.

Thank you Damien, they will now probably make some excuse to justify it. But worth an enquiry.
