canopy between shed and house

hi i am about to build a shed in my garden which i am sure i don't need permission for as its under 15m2 and under 2.5m tall but as a after thought i would like to continue the roof as a single pitch to join the house which is 2 m away this would be open at both ends
can i do this and would the final pitch height wher it connects to the house still have to be under 2.5m
