- canyou change to private building inspector if unhappy with council one

council inspector keeps changing the goal posts and tells builder to do one thing then next visit he changes it. If i employ a private inspector will he still have the same authority to sign every thing off and would there be any problems if i came to sell the property. It is a 3 x 3 extension on back of house
