Delaying completion of building

Is there a stage in erection of a building (garage) that can be reached and then delayed so that it would be ok to continue at a later date without seeking or renewing planning permission. If not know can anyone tell me who would be able give me this information please?

Hi Valerie.
Try your county council planning office they should be able to give you this information.

My council planning office gave me the information I required.
Ref my topic dated 12th Aug...Time limit to complain for summer house.
