Do I need planning for this porch

I have just moved into this house so dont know any history about it. It is a 1989 mock tudor detached house. It has a porch to the front that could have been added later ie what could be the original front door is resessed with an original pitched roof above. I think someone may have added a door and windows to the resess at sometime to make a porch 1m deep by 4m wide which makes it flush with the front of the house and original garage. My question is do I need planning permission to add a new build 2m by 4m porch in front of this

Yes as porches are limited to an external area of 3sq.m (and 3m high).

PD also relates to the original/as-built house.
