I have a large detached garage/workshop which I could convert to a small bijou dwelling or holiday cottage. Only trouble is, it's just inside the green belt. However, the adjacent works have been given approval for housing so I wonder what My chances are and does a workshop come under the new relaxed rules for conversions? Or does that only affect farm buildings?
Can anyone advise or point me in the right direction for guidance?

I would like to erect a canopy which extends the length of my house which is approx. 15 meters; the depth of the canopy will be 0.9 metres from the wall and no more than 3 meters high. It will be a good 4/5 meters away from the highway. It will have 3 courses of tiles, the same as the main roof.
There are similar properties on my road with such designs.
Could anyone please advise.

I have disabled daughter who is in wheelchair 24/7 and needs assistance in her day to day needs. I am thinking of making a wet room downstairs for her in by utilising space from the kitchen. This will make the kitchen very small and difficult for my daughter manoeuvre her wheel chair. My property is end of the terrace house and the garage is one and half meter away on the side of the property and is one meter back from the front elevation of the building. I am interested in moving the garage close to the property side ways by shifting it still towards the back of the property from front elevation. It will the same garage Single storey and 2.5 m height as it is just moving it backwards. But close to the property for easy access. Please help and advice.
