Do I need planning permission to make outbuilding a separate commercial unit?

Hi all,

We have a two storey hot food takeaway building (pizza shop) with a large outbuilding to the rear. The outbuilding is currently ancillary to the main shop. We are looking to rent out the outbuilding separately, would we need planning permission for this? Would we be able to rent this out separately for something in the same use class (as another hot food takeaway for example) or any other uses without applying for Planning permission?

In both situations, it would require Planning.
