help and advice needed please

I own 4 acres of land in one contained block with a dereliced cottage on the land.
id like to build a 10ft wide x 20ft long x 10ft high storage shed on my land ,do I need to get planning permission for this.
there are no other buildigs on the land apart from the dereliced cottage.
