how far from house from factory

there is a company moving into a leased factory to extract precious metals from waste etc, they will be useing lots of hazardous chemicals to extract this
how far should my house be from the factory to allow this.
is there a regulation about this

You mean how far should they or their extraction equipment be from your house… as I assume your house is built? If so, the Planning department will review and take into account those regulations when formally determining their application.
