Lean-to with tiled roof

Im wanting to build a wooden framed lean-to to the rear of my house... single story with open side but with a tiled roof. Im wanting to build it the full width of the property and extending out 3m, will I require planning permission? I would be very grateful if some one could advise me, thanks for reading and assisting
