Line of sight

Hi All

I live in a detached house and want to do a two storey rear extension. My house is set back from the neighbours and the architect has said that there is a planning policy which means that is breaks the line of sight as shown on the site plans. Therefore they are proposing only two storey part way along, hence having a weird corner cut off. I cant find anything anywhere to give me more guidance on this. Can anyone advise please?

As I don't have details of the exact location of your property, your neighbours property or the surrounding area, it is difficult to give you an affirmative answer. Based on the information you have provided, it seems as though your architect is correct.
Local councils will not permit development which has an impact on the line of sight of neighbouring properties.
