Permitted Development - conservatory into kitchen extension

We are trying to understand if planning permission is required to convert our conservatory.

Our kitchen currently has an open arch to the conservatory. We are looking to remove the wall completely between the two rooms and brick the two side walls of the conservatory and add a hard tiled roof. Essentially changing the kitchen and conservatory into one large kitchen extension.

The size and hight of the extension will be exactly the same.

Do we need to apply for planning permission or will this be covered under permitted development? Is it worth applying for a lawful development certificate to be sure?

If your property has PD rights and the resultant works meet the PD requirements, then yes… it would be PD. Submitting a LDC application is optional but definitely worth it if/when you come to sell.
