Hi there, i've recently build a pizza oven in my garden, some of the neighbours have complained, so the council as been round and told me that the oven its fine but because is within 2 mt of the boundary the max height of the structure should be 2.5mt. That means that i gonna have to shorten the flue pipe, the question is, is the flie part of the structure?? Is it not just the flue of an outdoor appliance? And i've read somewhere that flues are ok as long they are not more than 1 mt over the roof. Thanks

the one metre rule is on the house not structures in the garden. and if its over 2.5m within 2m of the boundary it will require planning permission this 2.5m also includes the height of any platform

Hi wonder if you can point me in the right direction for commercial property planning. i.e. Want do build a wood fired pizza oven next to the Inn bed and breakfast does it need to be a certain distance from the building ?

hi im' planning to open a pizza restaurant with a wood-fired pizza oven . we have a 5 story building above with Apartments what is my option for the flue system . basically we cant go up with the flue system . thank you

You would be better off consulting with the supplier of the system. Then you’d need to look into whether you would require Planning and the additional drawings, documents and details to accompany that application.
