residential to commercial

I was wondering if any one could help with my enquiry. How difficult is it to turn a property that was once commercial turned residential back to commercial.
I would like to turn it into a hairdressers/beauty salon.

Depending on the neighbourhood and council nowadays almost impossible. They require more residential properties than commercial and are unlikely to grant permission unless its a poor neighbourhood or an abandoned property. A quick phone call to the council will give you an idea before you spend anything.
