Shared drive

Can anyone help me please. I use a shared drive way. The other person who uses the shared drive, drives to fast up the drive I have asked him to slow down as my garden gate opens onto the drive ans as I have two young children. He take no notice of my request. So I would like to know if I need planing to put a ramp in the drive way.
