Sleeping in a van

Do I need planning permission to sleep in a van on my parents land? The land is attached to the house and I would be using their postal address. The van has solar and a small hob but not much else, so I would use the house for shower etc. do we need planning or does it just count as an extra bedroom on the house?

I can’t see why the LPA would have any concerns about that.
