Hello. i would like to build an summer house with the following measurements: 5.5m long x 5.4m wide x 2.5m height with the roof no higher than 4 m. Do i need permission for above ? i have to mentions that i would like to build it on a concrete base/ footing.
The garden is 45m long x 6m wide. and the house is terraced. thanks .

The overall height cannot exceed 2.5m. Ignore the 4m as that only applies to outbuildings positioned min. 2m away from a boundary.

Hi Damian. thanks for you replay. so in an few words the overall cannot exceed 2.5m. what about the length and width is that ok ? i hear that the maximum is the 30 m square ! thanks . looking forwards to hear back from you.

Correct about the height.
The floor space relates to Building Regulations and refers to the internal measurement. If you’re constructing it from non-combustible materials, you’d also be exempt from BR’s.
